People ask me what my passion is, and of course, it starts with my family and my friends. But I have an equally strong passion for the City of Marseilles. My goal as your Mayor has been – and will continue to be – to ensure the City remains financially strong and provides the highest level of services for our residents and businesses. My personal motto is Focused on the Future and that will not change if I am re-elected as Mayor of Marseilles. This is my promise to you.

Since I was first elected to this office in 2019, I’ve worked very hard to ensure Marseilles is one of the most transparent communities in LaSalle County. If you’d like to stay up to date on all that is going on in the City, we share information regularly on the City website, the social media pages, and through a weekly E-newsletter that summarizes our City Council meetings and other news for community members.

A strong focus has also been placed on ensuring our business community stays strong. In addition to hiring an Economic Development professional, a Business Outreach Program has also been established to assist our local businesses with marketing.

Marseilles will be our absolute best when we work together toward common goals and stay focused on building our future. I invite you to join me by supporting my campaign for re-election on April 6, 2027.

Accomplishments as Mayor

$10,000 in zero-percent interest loans from the City provided to 15 local businesses in the aftermath of COVID-19 

Business Outreach Program established to support local businesses

Resident Outreach Program established to deliver food and prescriptions to in need residents, and daily well-being checks

Property trade with NUCOR for new City Hall with no tax dollars invested in property.

Fillebrowne Street reconstruction of concrete, curbs and gutters

Main and Commercial Street realigned with concrete construction, curbs and gutters, in addition to new sidewalks; majority of costs covered by State and Federal funds 

Extended City water and sewer to Interstate 80 and the businesses and residential units along the way, including Walbridge Subdivision

Reduced number of abandoned and blighted properties from more than 100 down to 20 along (and working on the rest).

Extended water and sewer to newly annexed property on Milton Road.

Installed lighting along the river walk on South Main Street.

Formed TIF 5 to aid in Main Street revitalization.

Updated City Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinances.

Worked with Marseilles Ministerial Association to establish a Community Center on West Bluff Street.
