EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
CodeRED
Seconds Count In An Emergency!
The City of Marseilles has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas of the City in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil-water notice, missing child or evacuation notices).
The system is capable of dialing 50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number.
THIS SYSTEM WILL ONLY BE USED FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES.
Examples of times when the CodeRED system could be utilized:
•
Drinking water contamination
•
Utility outage
•
Evacuation notice & route
•
Missing person
•
Fires or Floods
•
Bomb threat
•
Hostage situation
•
Chemical spill or Gas leak
and other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for life safety.
Friends
Thanks for stopping by the Web Site of Commissioner of Public Health and Safety and Assist Fire Chief Jim Hollenbeck. I hope you will find my web site informative and helpful.
As a child, like most boys, I wanted to be either a policeman or fireman when I grew up. Since I could not decide which I wanted to be. I decided to become both, made the decision much easier, even though I knew the work, training and dedication was going to be double.
I developed a web site so the citizens of the community can become more familiar with my family and me. Being a public servant my entire life I feel it is very important to be accessible to the community and anyone that may visit. I hope you will take this opportunity to learn about me and to ask any questions you may have about myself and the departments I represent.
The City of Marseilles, its future, and the safety of the residents, and visitors are all very important to me. I have dedicated my life to public service and caring for this community
I started my career with the Marseilles Police Department on February 14th 1975. After 10 years with the Marseilles Police Department, attaining the rank of Assistant Chief, I advanced my career to the State of Illinois where I was a Special Agent, in the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Division of Arson Investigation.
I was promoted to Area Commander for Northern Illinois and the K-9 Program Supervisor.
I was then was assigned to Internal Affairs and the FBI Terrorist Task Force in Chicago. I initially was assigned to CTU (Counter Terrorism Unit) 3, the Islamic Squad, and later to CTU 2 The Domestic Terrorism Unit.
I am a 34-year veteran of the Marseilles Fire Protection District and currently serves as an Assistant Chief and Emergency Medical Technician and Arson Investigator.
I also serve as a Private Investigator for Advanced Investigative Service located in Nashville Illinois.
I am the proud parent of 4 children Mike, Aaron, Kenneth, and Ashley. In my off time I love spending time with family, friends, and getting together for cookouts. I am an avid NASCAR and White Sox fan; and also enjoy camping, fishing, motorcycling, boating and bowling.
Please feel free to contact me if you ever have and questions or concerns
Sincerely
Jim Hollenbeck
